Born in 1989
A father of three, Loïc is the founder of Hey Folks. Passionate about educational experiences and outdoor adventures, he has dedicated the past several years to creating meaningful projects for children across French-speaking Switzerland. He could happily spend hours skipping stones by the lake.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and French Literature from the University of Lausanne and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Literature with a focus on Film and Theatre Studies. His academic journey also led him to study Architecture at EPFL and to complete a three-year programme at Cours Florent, further deepening his interest in the arts, storytelling and performance.
Before founding Hey Folks, he spent several years leading travelling camps for children, building extensive experience in programme development, team management and supervising groups of different ages.
Always eager to expand his knowledge and enrich his practice, he completed training in the Barkley Method, a widely recognised approach for supporting children with ADHD and self-regulation challenges. He is also certified in paediatric first aid (BLS-AED-SRC) and has received specialised training in the supervision and safety of aquatic activities in both swimming pools and open-water environments in the canton of Vaud (Base Pool and Base Pool Plus).
Among all the Disney classics, Hercules remains his favourite. He grew up watching it and still knows the songs by heart.
